Mehndi Aftercare Tips

Stay Warm!

Keep your hand warm during and after Mehndi application for the deepest stain possible. Warm your hand over stove with 10–12 cloves, fireplace, space heater, or use a heating pad.

The Longer, The Better!

Mehndi dries in ~15 minutes. Leave it on 6–12 hours for best results. 2 hours is minimum but not recommended for a deep, long-lasting stain.

Wrap It Up!

Once dry, wrap design to prevent flakes. Use toilet paper then cling wrap. Wear socks over hands/feet if needed. Do not apply cling wrap or plastic directly on skin.

Keep It Dry!

Remove paste by rubbing or picking off. Avoid water. Use oil to remove stubborn paste. Apply aftercare balm or Vicks after removing paste.

What To Expect!

Natural safe Mehndi is never black. Stain changes from orange to deep maroon within ~48 hours. Everyone stains differently depending on skin, location, duration, and aftercare.

Aftercare Balm

100% natural handmade balm by Mehndi By Genisha. Apply after paste removal to protect from water and prolong stain. Do not apply on paste, only on stain.
